Das aber hat bedenkliche Folgen für unser Verständnis von Bewußtsein, Subjektivität und Personalität. Die Rede von der Erinnerungsvergessenheit der Philosophie ist jedenfalls nicht unbegründet - deshalb habe ich dieses Buch geschrieben. Und ich habe mich bemüht, es so zu schreiben, daß es auch für denjenigen noch lesbar bleibt, der im "Fach Philosophie" nicht zuhause ist; denn wer ein bewußtes Leben führen will, muß das im flüchtigen Strom seiner Erinnerungsbilder tun.
